Comptoniaster sharpii

Taxonomy
Stellaster sharpii was named by Wright (1880). It is not extant. Its type specimen is Natural History Museum, London, holotype BNHM OR 75792.

It was recombined as Metopaster sharpii by Lewis (1993); it was recombined as Comptoniaster sharpii by Breton (1983), Breton (1992), Breton (1997), Breton (1997).

G. Breton 1992Disk pentagonal. Interbrachial s arc rounded. Arms slender. R/r ratio nearly equals to three. About 25 pairs of marginal plates per half-arc. Maximum width of marginals in the interradius, marginals squared in arms.
