Taxonomy
Tamias eviensis was named by de Bruijn et al. (1980). It is not extant. Its type specimen is AMPB AL- 214 , M 1-2 sup. sin., a set of teeth. Its type locality is Aliveri, which is in a Burdigalian terrestrial horizon in Greece.
