Plecotus (Corynorhinus) atavus was named by Topal (1989). It is not extant. Its type specimen is MAFI 4727 Reg. no. V. 15228 (VT.138), a maxilla (Maxillary fragment dex. with P4-M2 and alveoli I1-I2,C,M3).
