Taxonomy
Ekaltadeta jamiemulvaneyi was named by Wroe (1996). Its type specimen is QM F24200, a mandible (left dentary fragment containing P3, M1-2, trigonoid and hypoconid of M3, symphysial region and ascending remus missing, ventral margin of dentary beneath M2-3 ), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Encore Site, which is in a Tortonian lacustrine limestone in Australia.
