It was assigned to Oegophiurina by Lehmann (1957) and Owen (1965); to Oegophiurida by Spencer and Wright (1966), Haude and Thomas (1983), Webster et al. (1999) and Boczarowski (2001); and to Ophiurida by Glass and Poschmann (2006).
