It was assigned to Chilostomata by Ulrich and Bassler (1904); to Ascophora by Brown (1952), Bassler (1953), Brown (1958), Pouyet (2000); and to Schizoporelloidea by Berning (2006), Guha and Gopikrishna (2007), Zagorsek et al. (2010), Gordon (2012), Di Martino and Taylor (2015).
