Coracioidea is a superfamily. It is extant. Its type is Coracias. It was considered monophyletic by Mayr and Mourer-Chauviré (2000).

It was assigned to Coraciides by Livezey and Zusi (2007); and to Coraciiformes by Mayr and Mourer-Chauviré (2000), Clarke et al. (2009).
