Protostrix californiensis
Taxonomy
Protostrix californiensis was named by Howard (1965). Its type specimen is LACM no. 6171, a limb element (left humerus), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Lake Murray (LACM 1723), which is in an Uintan terrestrial siltstone in the Mission Valley Formation of California.
