Taxonomy
Kibenikhoria get was named by Simpson (1935). Its type specimen is AMNH FM 28542, a maxilla (part of left maxilla with P2-M1 and roots of P1), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cañadón Hondo, Kibenikhoria Faunal Zone, which is in a Riochican alluvial fan sandstone in the Las Flores Formation of Argentina. It is the type species of Kibenikhoria.
