Pleuropholis crassicauda
Taxonomy
Pleuropholis crassicaudus was named by Egerton (1858). Its type specimen is BMNH, a partial skeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Durdlestone Bay, Austin's bed 106, which is in a Berriasian lagoonal mudstone in the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Pleuropholis.
