Bufo spongifrons
Taxonomy
Bufo spongifrons was named by Tihen (1962). Its type specimen is USNM 22234, a partial skull (left frontoparietal), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Quarry E, which is in a Hemphillian terrestrial horizon in the Ogallala Formation of Kansas.
