Taxonomy
Cypraea raymondrobertsi was named by Pilsbry (1922). Its type specimen is ANSP 3995, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Cypraea (Zonaria) raymondrobertsi by Woodring (1925); it was recombined as Erronea raymondrobertsi by Jung (1989); it was recombined as Zonaria raymondrobertsi by Hendy et al. (2008); it was recombined as Zonaria (Zonaria) raymondrobertsi by Landau et al. (2008); it was recombined as Pseudozonaria raymondrobertsi by Landau and Groves (2011).
