Baylea arenaria
Taxonomy
Pleurotomaria arenaria was named by Girty (1909). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS 2931 green, Guadalupe Canyon, Guadalupe Mountains, which is in a Roadian slope limestone in the Cherry Canyon Formation of Texas.
It was recombined as Yvania arenaria by Weller (1929); it was recombined as Baylea arenaria by Yochelson and Saunders (1967).
