Taxonomy
Turritella ranikoti was named by Vredenburg (1928) [Type occurrence: Upper Ranikot beds of Sind, India].

It was recombined as Kapalmerella ranikoti by Warren (2005); it was recombined as Palmerella ranikoti by Halder and Sinha (2014).
