Proictinia effera

Osteichthyes - Buteonidae

Taxonomy
Proictinia effera was named by Wetmore (1923). Its type specimen is AMNH 6299, a limb element (complete right tarsometatarsus with associated phalanges), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Agate Springs Quarries, which is in a Harrisonian channel sandstone in the Marsland Formation of Nebraska.

It was recombined as Promilio efferus by Wetmore (1958).
