Taxonomy
Metopaster dividuus was named by Rasmussen (1945). It is not extant. Its type specimen is Paleontological Department of the Mineralogical and Geological Museum at Copenha.

It was recombined as Ceramaster dividuus by Rasmussen (1950), Spencer and Wright (1966), Rasmussen (1979).

H. W. Rasmussen 1950A Ceramaster with a pentagonal outline, and nearly straight sides. The margin is formed of just as many superomarginals as inferomarginals. The marginals are provided with a depressed border bearing line, closely placed setae, and within this, scattered setae attached in spine-pits. In the outermost part of the arm, the superomarginals meet in the mid line. This produces an ossicle which seen from the abactinal side has a characteristic pentagonal outline.
