Bishops whitmorei
Taxonomy
Bishops whitmorei was named by Rich et al. (2001). Its type specimen is NMV P210075, a mandible (left mandible), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Flat Rocks, Bunurong Marine Park, which is in a Barremian fluvial sandstone/conglomerate in the "Wonthaggi" Formation of Australia. It is the type species of Bishops.
