Panopea ramonensis

Taxonomy
Panope ramonensis was named by Clark (1925) [DISTRIBUTION: Late Oligocene; Pacific Coast, North America.]. Its type specimen is UCMP 30330, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCMP loc. 1131, Walnut Creek, which is in an Oligocene marine horizon in California.

It was recombined as Panopea (Panopea) ramonensis by Hickman (1969); it was recombined as Panopea ramonensis by Addicott (1973), Moore (1976).
