Palaeozygopleura (Bohemozyga) pyritica
Taxonomy
Palaeozygopleura (Bohemozyga) pyritica was named by Jagt-Yazykova et al. (2006) [M. Krawczyński in ]. It is not extant. Its type specimen is GIUS 4−2284 Kos−14, a shell. Its type locality is Kostomłoty II quarry (Małe Górki), Kostomłoty, Holy Cross Mountains, which is in a Frasnian carbonate chert in the Szydłówek Formation of Poland.

Jagt-Yazykova et al. 2006 | Ornamentation consists of strong collabral ribs, which clearly differentiate this species from the similar Palaeozygopleura (Bohemozyga) kettneri Horný, 1955, which has more delicate, and more closely spaced, collabral furrows. P. (Bohemozyga) pyritica sp. nov. also differs by the more convex shape of the whorls and deeper sutures. |
