Sphaerocyclus angustomphalus
Taxonomy
Bellerophon (Sphaerocyclus) angustomphalus was named by Spitz (1907). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Light Gray Riffskalk, Thörl, Lake Wolayer, Carnic Alps, which is in a Pragian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Grau Riffkalk Formation of Austria.
It was recombined as Bellerophon (Bellerophon) angustomphalus by Jhaveri (1969); it was recombined as Sphaerocyclus angustomphalus by Wagner (2023).
