Palaeonossax senectus
Taxonomy
Palaeonossax senectus was named by Wetmore (1956). Its type specimen is SDSM no. 457, a limb element (distal end of right humerus), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is 5 Miles South of Scenic, which is in a Whitneyan channel sandstone in the Brule Formation of South Dakota. It is the type species of Palaeonossax.
