Taxonomy
Paraptenodytes brodkorbi was named by Simpson (1972). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Gran Bajo de San Julian, which is in an Aquitanian marginal marine siltstone/sandstone in the Monte Leon Formation of Argentina.
