Ausktribosphenos nyktos

Taxonomy
Ausktribosphenos nyktos was named by Rich et al. (1997). Its type specimen is MSC 007, a mandible (mandible with three teeth), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Flat Rocks, Bunurong Marine Park, which is in a Barremian fluvial sandstone/conglomerate in the Wonthaggi Formation of Australia. It is the type species of Ausktribosphenos.
