Euchilodon morierei was named by Cossmann (1913) [DISTRIBUTION: Early-Late Miocene; Panama, Venezuela, Colombia.]. It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Scobinella morierei by Olsson (1922), Anderson (1929), Woodring (1970), Hendy et al. (2008).
