Taxonomy
Parapodemus meini was named by Martín Suárez and Freudenthal (1993). Its type specimen is RGM 402720, a tooth (M1 sin.), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Crevillente 7, which is in a MN 12 terrestrial horizon in Spain.
