Taxonomy
Apodemus lii was named by Qiu and Storch (2000). Its type specimen is IVPP V11925, a tooth (M1 sup. sin.), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Bilike, which is in a Pliocene lacustrine horizon in China.
