Taxonomy
Postpalerinaceus cingulatus was named by Ziegler (2005). It is not extant. Its type specimen is MAFI V20511, a mandible (dext with p4-m2). Its type locality is Rudabánya, which is in a MN 9 lacustrine marl/claystone in the Edelény Formation of Hungary.

Ascending ramus slants at 107o posteriorly. Paraconid of p4 lower than protoconid but higher than metaconid. p4 and lower molars provided with strong ectocingulid. M2 without metaconule, with strong paracingulum, metacingulum and ectocingulum. |
