Euronyctia belgica
Taxonomy
Euronyctia belgica was named by Smith (2006). Its type specimen is IRSNB M 1914, a mandible (dext. with p4, m2), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Boutersem TGV, which is in a Rupelian fluvial-lacustrine sandstone in the Borgloon Formation of Belgium.

Talons des P4, M1,M2 très arges, de forme arrondie pourvus d’un hypocône bien marqué. Postcingulide et cingulide antéro-labial bien développés. Présence d’une encoche sur la crête oblique (à l’emplacement d’un mésoconide). Angle formé par le bord lingual et le bord postérieur de m1 et m2, au niveau de
l’entoconide, proche de 90°. |
