|---|---|---|
| G. Storch 1995 | Middle-sized Paranourosorex species. p4 with distinct posterolingual basin and two-cusped apex; the tooth is rather inflated. m3 with well-developed talonid basin, hypoconid, and entoconid; markedly larger than in P. gigas. Entoconid and hypolophid of m1 separated by a groove; the lingual extremity of the hypolophid of m1-2 reaches only the level of the labial face of the entoconid. Entocristid and posterior face of the metaconid f m1-2 separated by a notch. Lower incisor moderately upturned apically, with cutting edge distinctly longer than posterior part of crown. Hypoconal flange on P4 smaller than in gigas. Hypcond of M1-2 inflated and conical. The lower articular facet on the condyle is continuous with the internal face of the mandible and situated far anteriorly. The limula and interal temporal foaas above the limula are at most faintly indicated on the coronoid process. | |
