Taxonomy
Lepicythara camaronensis was named by Olsson (1964) [DISTRIBUTION: Muocene-Pliocene; Ecuador.]. It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Quebrada Camarones [Esmeraldas Fm], which is in a Pliocene marine sandstone/sandstone in the Esmeraldas Formation of Ecuador.
