Taxonomy
Tellinomya pectunculoides was named by Hall (1872). Its type specimen is USNM 47056, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Ctenodonta pectunculoides by Ulrich (1894), Foerste (1924); it was recombined as Nucularca pectunculoides by Pojeta and Stott (2007).
