Araripia florifera
Taxonomy
Araripia florifera was named by Mohr and Eklund (2003). Its type specimen is MB.PB 99/628, a multi organs (leaves and flowers), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Nova Olinda quarries, which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large lime mudstone/mudstone in the Crato Formation of Brazil. It is the type species of Araripia.
