Cardita crassa vindobonensis was named by Sacco (1899) [DISTRIBUTION: Late Miocene; Mediterranean.]. It is not a trace fossil.
It was recombined as Beguina (Mytilicardita) vindobonensis by Sieber (1956); it was recombined as Cardita (Cardita) vindobonensis by Freneix et al. (1988).
