Mellalomys rhassoulensis
Taxonomy
Mellalomys rhassoulensis was named by Benammi (1997). Its type specimen is SGM RH 71, a tooth (M1 sup. dext.), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Jebel Rhassoul, which is in a Miocene terrestrial horizon in Morocco.
