Pseudoltinomys gliriformis
Taxonomy
Pseudoltinomys gliriformis was named by de Bruijn et al. (1979). Its type specimen is IPS Bi 31, a tooth (M1,2 sup. dext.), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Biniamar, Island of Mallorca, which is in an Eocene lacustrine claystone/limestone in Spain.

H. de Bruijn et al. 1979 | Pseudoltinomys gliriformis is similar in size to P. phosphoricus Hartenberger, 1973, P. cuvieri (Pomel, 1852) and P. gaillardi Lavocat, 1951. All D4, P4 and M1,2 are provided with an extra ridge between the metaloph and the mesoloph. Most upper molars, except M3 have yet another additional ridge between the mesoloph and the protoloph. |
