Protataromys mianchiensis
Taxonomy
Protataromys mianchiensis was named by Tong (1997). Its type specimen is IVPP V10259, a tooth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lok. 7, Shang-Ho, Jen-Tsun, Mien-Chih-Hsien, Yuanqu basin, which is in a Sharamurunian terrestrial marl in the Hedi Formation of China. It is the type species of Protataromys.
