Taxonomy
Confiniummys siddiki was named by de Bruijn et al. (2003). Its type specimen is MTA Süngulü A, 323, a tooth (m1 inf. dext.), and it is not a trace fossil. It is the type species of Confiniummys.

H. de Bruijn et al. 2003Confiniummys siddiki is a small ctenodactylid with five-crested M1 M2 and four-crested and three-rooted m1, m2 and m3. The hypocone of the upper molars is smaller than the protocone. The anteroloph of the upper molars has about the same height as the protoloph and is connected to the protocone. The premolars are not molariform. P4 with two cusps and one root, p4 with three cusps and one root. Cheek teeth brachyodont. Upper cheek teeth more lophodont than lower cheek teeth. The relative size and the shape of the molars is as in the Phiomyidae and Chapattimyidae.
