Taxonomy

Paracricetodon dehmi was named by Hrubesh (1957). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Bernloch 1, which is in a MP 23 terrestrial horizon in Germany.

Paracricetodon kavakderensis was named by Unay-Bayraktar (1989). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kavakdere, which is in an Oligocene terrestrial claystone in the Lignite-Sandstone Formation of Türkiye.

It was synonymized subjectively with Paracricetodon dehmi by van de Weerd et al. (2018).
Paracricetodon kodjayarmensis was named by Unay-Bayraktar (1989). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kocayarma, which is in an Oligocene channel claystone in the Lignite-Sandstone Formation of Türkiye.

It was synonymized subjectively with Paracricetodon dehmi by van de Weerd et al. (2018).
