It was recombined as Lophrothyris subsella by Weir (1925) and Weir (1929); it was recombined as Loboidothyris subsella by Makridin (1964); it was recombined as Epithyris subsella by Dzik (1979); it was recombined as Habrobrochus subsella by Cooper (1983); it was recombined as Moeschia subsella by Adabi and Ager (1997); it was recombined as Sellithyris subsella by Sulser and Meyer (1998); it was recombined as Xestosina subsella by Hantzpergue et al. (2004).
