Taxonomy
Sinuitina keytei was named by Yochelson (1960). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is USGS 6694, Sullivan Peak, Glass Mountains, which is in a Kungurian carbonate limestone in the Cathedral Mountain Formation of Texas.

It was recombined as Sinuitina (Vorticina) keytei by Gordon and Yochelson (1987).
