Kapes amaenus
Taxonomy
Kapes amaenus was named by Ivakhnenko (1975). Its type specimen is PIN 3361/2, a mandible (right dentary), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Zheshart, which is in an Olenekian terrestrial horizon in the Yarenskian Formation of the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Kapes.
