Scoloparia was named by Sues and Baird (1998). It is not extant. Its type is Scoloparia glyphanodon.
It was assigned to Leptopleuroninae by Modesto et al. (2002), Modesto and Damiani (2007), Säilä (2008); and to Procolophonidae by Sues and Baird (1998), Skinner et al. (2020).
