Taxonomy
Minisauripus chuanzhuensis was named by Zhen et al. (1994). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is CFEC-A-1, a footprint, and it is a trace fossil. Its type locality is Emei tracksite, Xingfu cliff, Chuanzhu, which is in a Barremian/Albian eolian mudstone/sandstone in the Jiaguan Formation of China.

S. Zhen et al. 1994Typically small, bipedal forms, footprints tridactyl, feet small (less than 3 cm. long), the angle between digits also small, the phalangeal pad impressions not very clear, stride and pace very long, no manus or caudal impressions.
L. Xing et al. 2016Small tridactyl track with sub-parallel, elongate, well-padded digits with blunt distal terminations connected to narrow distal claw traces. Digit III only slightly longer than IV, which is slightly longer than digit II. Phalangeal formula of 2–3–?4 for digits II, III and IV, respectively, discernible in well preserved examples. Trackway narrow.
