Taxonomy
Epitonium (Ferminoscala) ferminianum was named by Dall (1908) [DISTRIBUTION: Pliocene-Recent; Caribbean.]. It is extant. It is the type species of Epitonium (Ferminoscala).

It was recombined as Amaea (Scalina) ferminiana by Dushane (1988); it was recombined as Scalina ferminiana by DeVries (2007).
