Aerosaurus wellesi
Taxonomy
Aerosaurus wellesi was named by Langston and Reisz (1981). Its type specimen is UCMP 40096, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCMP V-2814, which is in a Virgilian/Wolfcampian terrestrial siltstone in the Abo/Cutler Formation of New Mexico.
