It was corrected as Cryptaporocyathus by Rozanov et al. (1969).
It was assigned to Archaeocyatha by Rozanov et al. (1969); to Monocyathida by Sokolov et al. (1974); to Capsulocyathida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Cryptoporocyathidae by Kerner et al. (2011), Debrenne et al. (2015), Novack-Gottshall (2025).
It was corrected as Cryptaporocyathus by Rozanov et al. (1969).
