Lucina squamula was named by Deshayes (1825) [DISTRIBUTION: Eocene; western Europe.]. It is not a trace fossil.
It was recombined as Phacoides squamulus by Cossmann (1914); it was recombined as Lucina (Lucina) squamulus by Glibert (1985); it was recombined as Callucina (Callucina) squamula by Pacaud and Le Renard (1995).
