Taxonomy
Pycnoidocyathus cribrus was named by Gravestock (1984). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Wilkawillina Gorge buildups 2, Flinders Ranges, which is in an Atdabanian reef, buildup or bioherm reef rocks in the Wilkawillina Limestone Formation of Australia.
