Spyridiophora distincta
Taxonomy
Spyridiophora distincta was named by Cooper and Stehli (1955). Its type specimen is USNM 124117, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is USNM701k, Wolf Camp Hills, Glass Mountains, which is in an Asselian reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Neal Ranch Formation of Texas. It is the type species of Spyridiophora.
