Taxonomy
Notothyris pseudodjoulfensis was named by Licharew (1973) [Notothyris pseudodjoulfensis Licharew, in Grunt & Dmitriev (1973). Type in F.N. Chernyschev Collection]. Its type specimen is TsNIGR 1386/2139 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Gefo Mountain, north Caucasus, which is in a Changhsingian marine horizon in the Russian Federation.
